Winston Churchill’s snooker table is a thing of beauty, with intricately-carved wood around the entire table. No, we don’t know what snooker is, but that’s beside the point. Turn to your left and you’ll see the snooker table. This is what you see when you emerge from the elevator. When we first visited this part of the hotel, our heart actually skipped a beat. Once you make your way to the second floor, be prepared to travel back in time! Not everything in Vegas has a giant, flashing neon sign, you know. If you’re having no luck, here’s what the elevator door looks like. Just wander around until you find it, that’s part of the fun. Which probably doesn’t help, because who carries compasses? If you find the casino cages, it’s on the complete other side of the casino. The elevator to the second floor is on the east side of the casino. WINSTON CHURCHILL MAY ALSO HAVE BEEN ENGLISH.

Keep an eye out for this old-timey elevator sign. This area of the hotel isn’t easy to find, and many guests of the casino never even realize it’s there. Here’s a hidden gem you won’t want to miss at Main Street Hotel & Casino, near Fremont Street Experience: It’s the snooker table of none other than Winston Churchill. There are so many things to discover in downtown Las Vegas, including a few that surprise even the most ardent Vegas fans.
